Tempo is a layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoins and real-world payments, born from Stripe’s experience in global payments and Paradigm’s expertise in crypto tech.
Tempo’s payment-first design provides a scalable, low-cost predictable backbone that meets the needs of high-volume payment use cases. Our goal is to move money reliably, cheaply, and at scale. Our north star is simplicity for users: fintechs, traditional banks, merchants, platforms, and anyone else looking to move their payments into the 21st century.
We're building Tempo with design partners who are global leaders in AI, e-commerce, and financial services: Anthropic, Coupang, Deutsche Bank, DoorDash, Mercury, Nubank, OpenAI, Revolut, Shopify, Standard Chartered, Visa, and more.
We’re building the infrastructure needed to bring real, substantial economic flows onchain. Our team primarily works in-person out of our San Francisco and NYC offices. We like to move fast and swing for the fences — join us!
The Role
This is Tempo’s first Growth Marketing hire. You will own how Tempo grows, from zero to meaningful scale. That means building and operating the full growth engine across acquisition, activation, and early lifecycle.
You’ll be hands-on, running experiments, building systems, and figuring out what actually works.
What You’ll Do
Own and launch Tempo’s SEO and AEO strategy
Identify and prioritize growth channels across dev, fintech, and crypto audiences
Stand up analytics, dashboards, and baseline funnel metrics
Ship fast experiments across content, distribution, and acquisition
Optimize conversion across docs, site, and onboarding flows
Develop playbooks for consistent user and developer growth
About You
5+ years in growth at a developer-facing, fintech, AI or crypto company
Proven track record of shipping measurable growth wins you can clearly explain
Experience running growth for early-stage products (0→1 or 1→10)
Comfortable across the full growth stack
Strong analytical ability (SQL or equivalent; PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, etc.)
Ability to independently define problems, run experiments, and iterate quickly
Strong writing instinct across formats (tweets, docs, landing pages, partner materials)
Attributes
Scrappy and hands-on — you'll roll up your sleeves on a complex integration without being asked
Proactive and anticipatory; you identify problems before partners do
Clear, compelling communicator who can translate technical complexity into business value
Energized by ambiguity and the pace of an early-stage company
Deeply curious about payments, blockchain infrastructure, and the ecosystem being built around stablecoins
AI-pilled, always looking to understand how the latest technical updates could affect growth.
